Is Rafa Benitez a Double Agent?

Without trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I’m sure Rafa Benitez is somehow benefiting from Liverpool doing so badly. No manager could really be as bad as him, could they?

Maybe he put £8 million on Liverpool to finish outside the Top Four this season.

Maybe he’s a closet Man Utd fan, and his rants at Sir Alex are just a cover up.

Why else would he continually play a weaker team than his squad allows? Why would he go to Birmingham with two holding midfielders, playing Gerrard in a deep role and resting Mascherano? How could the ineffective Dirk Kuyt possibly play in Stevie’s role?
And why would he substitute Fernanado Torres with 25 minutes still to play, and watch Liverpool drop another two valuable points?!

Either he’s a really bad manager and an idiot, or he is a double agent working with the Old Trafford boys.
