The bad is that newly-appointed Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is said to be lining up an offer for Steven Gerrard, and is hoping to prize him away from the only club he has ever played for. Losing Gerrard would cap off a disastrous season for the Reds, as they would not be able to replace their inspirational skipper.
The good news doing the rounds is that Liverpool might be preparing a reduced severance package of £3 million for Coach Rafa Benitez. If they are able to send the Spaniard packing, I believe they will be halfway towards a much better season next time.
