Common sense as in making moves to get rid of players who should never have qualified for the honour of playing for a Champions League team, such as Lucas and Insua. Philip Degen also looks to be on his way out.
Hodgson seems to be intent on bringing in more England players (having already captured the great signing of Joe Cole), and convincing the two English “Heartbeat” players of Liverpool, in Gerrard and Carragher, to stay at Anfield.
One of the main attributes I like about him the most is his honesty, which is a welcome relief after years of Rafa’s secretiveness and bizarre explanations of his managerial decisions.
Further signings for Hodgson at Liverpool include Milan Jovanovic and Scotland Under-19 international Danny Wilson for 2 million pounds, who has great potential, and was the recipient of the Scottish Football Writers' young player of the year award.

Hi Wilson, It's been ages. Can't tell you how much I marvel at your dedication to keep this blog going. It's been quite eclectic for me but i hope this season will see a more consistent approach from in terms of updating my blog.
ReplyDeleteI think Hodgson's the right man for the job despite the less than encouraging start of season and selling the sulk Mascherano is in my opinion a wonderful piece of business. Liverpool will be there or there abouts this season with just an addition or two. The transfer window closes in a few days so let's see what happens. Keep up the good work!
Hi Abiye, great to hear from you and good to have you back! Thanks for the input. I'm also glad Mascherano is gone, I couldn't handle his attitude. Looks like another cracker of a season ahead, Man City and Spurs look to make it even more interesting!
