Real Madrid have spoken of their admiration for Wayne Rooney, and are rumoured to be interested in signing him. This comes after the striker is said to have fallen out with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
I wouldn’t expect any sentiment from the Old Trafford Boss; Rooney wouldn’t be the first ‘superstar’ to receive an unceremonious chop. Remember the likes of Paul Ince, David Beckham and Ruud van Nistlerooy? All were thought to be ‘irreplaceable’ at the time, but once they crossed swords with Ferguson their time was up!
