Jamie Carragher's 650th Game

Liverpool’s 3 - 0 victory over West Ham United marked defender Jamie Carragher’s 650th appearance for the club; a truly remarkable achievement especially in this day and age when footballers are club-hopping to whoever will pay them the fattest paycheck.

Although Red’s fans missed injured skipper Steven Gerrard, it was fitting that vice-captain Carragher could captain the team on his milestone appearance.

It looks as if his decision to quit International football in order to prolong his club career has been justified; Carragher is now tied 5th for the most appearances by a Liverpool player.

Ian Callaghan        857
Ray Clemence      665
Emlyn Hughes      665
Ian Rush                660
Jamie Carragher 650
Phil Neal               650

Well Done Carra!
